This exhibition was born out of a series of workshops led by designer Yoshimi Kihara in an attempt to encourage ordinary Japanese women to contemplate their hobby through the eyes of professionals and artists. The result is entitled Fushiginoiroito - meaning puzzling, strange and mysterious coloured yarns - and its only appearance in the UK in 2001 will be as part of The Knitting and Stitching Show. .....
